Why is my gutter leaking at the corner in Urbandale?
Corners and end caps are sealed joints, and sealant dries out and lets go over time, especially after a winter of freeze and thaw. A miter can also open up if the gutter sags. We clean the joint, reseal it or replace the corner piece, and check that the run still pitches toward the outlet.
Can sagging gutters be fixed or do I need new ones in Urbandale?
Most sagging comes from loose hangers, a heavy load of debris or ice, or soft fascia. If the fascia board is solid, we re-hang the run on new hidden hangers and reset the pitch. If the wood behind it has rotted, that has to be fixed first, and Luke will tell you before any work starts.
